Echocardiographer I PD

Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital seeks an Echocardiographer I for their Echocardiographer department responsible for performing diagnostic echocardiograms to assess cardiac structures and other tests as needed to obtain data used in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with possible cardiac abnormalities. Has a thorough knowledge of anatomy and pathology as it relates to cardiac ultrasound imaging.

QUALIFICATIONS:

All job qualifications listed indicate the minimum level necessary to perform this job proficiently.

Education:



  • Minimum: Graduate from an accredited cardiac sonography program.
  • Preferred: Registry eligible* with either American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) as a Cardiac Sonographer. Obtains ARDMS or CCI registry within 12 months of hire. *Registry eligible- candidates need to submit a verification letter to the credentialing organization confirming the number of studies performed during the applicant's clinical experience.


Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:



  • Minimum: American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) eligible. Obtains ARDMS or CCI registry within 12 months of hire.
  • Preferred: American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).


Technical Requirements:



  • Minimum: Operational knowledge of echocardiography. Knowledge of basic human anatomy and a thorough knowledge of cardiac anatomy Knowledge of basic and advanced arrhythmia's ability to operate computers.
