Salary Guide: $68,640 - $73,000 The candidate will serve as a System Administrator for TacMo/DPSS. The candidate will ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems, networks, and data through the planning, analysis, development, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of information systems security programs, policies, procedures, and tools. This candidate will be expected to attend relevant training courses, workshops, and follow instruction from IT Operations Lead and Senior System Administrators. Essential Job Functions: Ensure implementation of IS security measures and procedures, including reporting incidents to the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) or Command Information Systems Security Manager (CISSM), Authorizing Official (AO) and appropriate reporting chains and coordinating system-level responses to unauthorized disclosures. Promoting awareness of security issues among management and ensuring sound security principles are reflected in organizations' visions and goals. Developing and implementing programs to ensure that systems, network, and data users are aware of, understand, and adhere to systems security policies and procedures. Participating in network and systems design to ensure implementation of appropriate systems security policies. Assessing security events to determine impact and implementing corrective actions. Monitor system recovery processes to ensure security features and procedures are properly restored and function correctly. Communicate and collaborate with the IT Operations Lead and Senior System Administrators in areas of mutual interest and impact. Assist with the analysis of customer information systems for risk to the organization. Assist with monitoring information systems and user compliance with cybersecurity policy, as appropriate, and review the results of such monitor. Assist with ensuring that any cybersecurity inspections, tests, and reviews are synchronized and coordinated with affected parties and organizations. Required Skills: Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required. High school diploma/GED plus 10 years of experience, or Associate's-level (AA/ AS/Technical school) plus 4 years of experience, or a bachelor's degree in an IT field with 2 years of specialized experience to include the following: Must be able to be granted and maintain a security clearance and maintain one for the duration of employment. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal. Applicants must possess or be able to achieve DOD 8570 or equivalent certification as required for the position Must have a Security+ certification. Possess professionalism, courtesy, high moral character, and integrity. Excellent communication skills and ability to liaison with outside agencies and ability to work independently. Knowledge of commonly applied Information Technology principles, processes, designs, and procedures while implementing cybersecurity defense concepts and methodologies for planning current and future system architecture requirements. Knowledge of operating characteristics and capabilities of systems, system requirements, and configuration techniques to include media, equipment, systems software, database software, and immediate access storage technology to carry out activities. Experience with Microsoft Windows Operating Systems. Experience with MSSQL 2014/2016/2017/2019. The candidate will assist during the integration of multiple organizations. The candidate will assist in the design of new techniques to support the organization in development, implementation, and maintenance of National, DOD, and DON security systems. Experience with providing authoritative guidance on implementation of new/revised cybersecurity policies/processes. Routinely ensures comprehensive cybersecurity measures are implemented, followed, and recorded in a timely and accurate manner. Experience with DISA security tools and other common Cyber defense security systems and methods used in a Security Operations Center to effectively detect, triage and respond to security events and incidents. experience implementing NIST 800-53 or JSIG security controls. Experience with creating and instituting Cybersecurity programs where necessary, monitoring schedules to ensure that Cybersecurity efforts meet Acquisition timelines. To include but not limited to; provides security scans, SCAP, implements STIGS & eSTIGS conducts vulnerability assessments etc. Experience with leading customer team's analysis/implementation of IAVM actions (e.g., IAVAs, IAVBs), issued as "security patches" to counter suspected or anticipated intrusions. Desired Skills: Experience designing servers, Network Attached Storage (NAS) or network devices. Utilizes Agile/ Agile Kanban methodologies to develop formal project documentation. Collaboration with stakeholders to identify, define, and document program needs and objectives, operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements, and levels of systems access. Ability to apply DOD cyber operations experience and knowledge in supporting mission operations. Experience with RHEL or Red Hat OpenShift and the ability to implement RHEL or Red Hat OpenShift systems and/or processes. |
