Overview

Apogee has an exciting new opportunity for a J56 BSA Lead to support cutting-edge research, development, and technical analysis efforts for US Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM)/J56 and the Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) Enterprise Center (NEC). This role involves advancing mission planning and execution capabilities for strategic deterrence through systems engineering, Agile/DevOps practices, and continuous integration/delivery methodologies. Contractors will be engaged in evaluating and enhancing the survivability, interoperability, and reliability of strategic weapon systems while contributing to planning documents, test and evaluation strategies, and rapid technology fielding efforts. This is a unique opportunity to work on mission-critical NC3 software and systems that shape national defense strategies, collaborating with diverse DoD and government partners to drive innovation and operational excellence in support of the strategic enterprise.

This is a full-time position located on-site at Offutt, Nebraska.



Responsibilities

    Lead cross-functional business systems analysis for the J56 program, ensuring alignment between business objectives and technical solutions.

  • Facilitate requirements elicitation sessions with stakeholders, documenting clear and actionable business and functional requirements.

  • Design and optimize business processes, leveraging industry best practices to drive efficiency, scalability, and system integration.

  • Oversee the development and execution of test plans, user acceptance testing (UAT), and defect triaging to ensure high-quality system deliverables.

  • Act as primary liaison between business units, technical teams, and external vendors, ensuring transparent communication and issue resolution.

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior BSAs, fostering a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing.

  • Monitor project milestones and deliverables, proactively identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.



Qualifications

Minimum Experience:

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Clearance: Must possess and maintain a TS w/SCI eligibility

Education: Bachelor's degree
Years of Experience: Minimum 12 years relevant experience to include:

  • Minimum of 5 years supporting the DoD

On-site: Duties for this position are performed on-site, full-time
