Position Overview

QinetiQ US is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable GL Accountant/Treasury Analyst to support our Finance operations in a fast-paced, federally regulated environment. As a key member of the finance team, you will help manage cash flow, ensure liquidity, and support treasury activities in alignment with both corporate objectives and federal compliance requirements. This role is ideal for a professional with strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of financial operations within a federal contracting context.



Responsibilities

    Perform daily cash management activities, including monitoring balances, executing transfers, and preparing cash position reports.
  • Forecast short- and long-term cash flows to ensure adequate liquidity for operations and contract obligations.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., Contracts, Project Controls, Accounts Payable/Receivable) to ensure timely invoicing, collections, and disbursements.
  • Track and report Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and Days Payable Outstanding (DPO), and help drive performance to meet company benchmarks.
  • Work closely with the billing and collections teams to support revenue cycle efficiency, especially with federal agencies and subcontractors.
  • Maintain and enhance cash flow forecasting models, incorporating project milestones and federal payment schedules.
  • Support treasury operations, including wire transfers, ACH transactions, and bank account management.
  • Assist in identifying and mitigating financial risks, including interest rate, credit, and currency exposure, in accordance with company and regulatory guidelines.
  • Support monthly bank reconciliations and general ledger account reviews related to treasury functions.
  • Contribute to treasury-related compliance efforts, including audits, internal controls, and reporting aligned with FAR, DCAA, and other federal requirements.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in treasury, corporate finance, or accounting-experience within a federal contracting environment strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills; proficiency in Excel and financial systems (e.g., Deltek Costpoint, Oracle, or similar ERP systems).
  • Working knowledge of FAR, DCAA, and federal compliance frameworks is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and thrive in a deadline-driven environment.
