Primary Purpose Provides support on engineering, operations and maintenance for all water conservation and energy management projects and programs. Minimum Specifications Education:
- Must have an Associate degree in a Mechanical/Electrical or other technical field, or equivalent schooling in a technical trade institute.
Experience:
- Must have 2 years of experience in water conservation and/or energy management, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Equivalent Education and/or Experience:
- May have an equivalent combination of education and experience to substitute for both the education and the experience requirements.

Skills or Special Abilities:
- Knowledge, skill and ability in the operation and maintenance of water conservation and energy efficiency projects in lighting, HVAC, power system and building automation systems.
- Experience in using Insight/Desigo and Wattstopper is highly preferred.
- Skill in identifying project defects and the ability to take corrective action.
- Knowledge and skills in utilities management including energy reduction and power demand management.
- Knowledge, skill and ability in project management, construction management or facility management.
- Able to manage multiple system-wide projects at once.
- Interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate, influence and lead.
- Flexibility, open-mindedness, collaborative nature, and willingness to embrace ambiguity are essential.
Responsibilities
- Provides engineering, operations and maintenance support for all water conservation and energy management programs to maximize efficiency, sustainability and reliability.
- Helps in improving energy management process/workflow by monitoring, identifying, and troubleshooting technical issues on energy programs and projects. Conducts routine inspection and preventive maintenance.
- Assists in managing energy strategies in electricity, natural gas, and renewables across the organization, in compliance with all applicable regulations. Assists in analyzing, evaluating and reporting the effectiveness of the projects using benchmarks and metrics.
- Follows up on opportunities to reduce usage of electricity, natural gas, and water utilities. Evaluate and implement cost savings opportunities when possible.
- Collaborates on renovation or new construction projects to ensure that sustainable building practices are followed whenever possible, including LEED requirements.
