Job Type: Full Time

Rate of Pay: $210,413 per year

Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon, but not limited to, the individual s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws.

Duties: Plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as electronic data processing, information systems, systems analysis, and computer programming. Oversee team of data engineers responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining data pipelines and cloud infrastructure. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure data integrity, security and availability. Lead the development and implementation of data engineering best practices, standards and processes. Provide technical leadership, guidance and mentorship to team members, help them solve complex data engineering challenges. Stay up to date on emerging technologies and trends in data engineering to drive innovation and continuous development. Hire, train and manage performance of data engineering team. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to understand data needs and priorities. Ensure compliance with data governance and regulatory requirements.

Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field and five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in any occupation in which the required experience was gained. Position also requires five years of experience in each of the following:

1. Manage projects by supporting architects in drafting requirement specifications, functional design, and technical design documents.
2. Develop ETL (Extract, transform and load) data pipelines for extracting data from various sources like SFTP servers, databases, AWS S3 using python scripts.
3. Design database schemas and writing queries and functions to perform common data extraction tasks.
4. Develop and maintain high quality ETL data pipelines aligned with system requirements and business needs ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
5. Collaborate directly with clients, gaining a strong understanding of their business requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
6. Provide guidance and expertise in building frameworks, strategizing development and streamlining testing activities.
7. Authoring and maintaining technical documentation, including solution designs, codebase details, and user manuals to facilitate knowledge sharing and maintainability.
