This role is part of Blue Origin corporate functions, providing centralized support across Blue Origin business unit teams, functions, and locations.

Performs a variety of clerical tasks in support of the facilities function. Coordinate and complete facilities and operations work, including but not limited to: scheduling, coordinating, and performing quality assurance of service vendors; supporting company events; planning and executing small projects; maintaining building systems; installing, and maintaining fixtures, furnishings, art, and equipment. Maintain service ticket requests and associated data reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain inventory in accordance with company policies. To include proper labeling, storage, handling, and packaging.
  • Perform cycle and annual inventory counts in accordance with count schedule. Research discrepancies in cycle and inventory counts
  • Kit parts to work orders. To include physically pulling, packaging, labeling and electronically transacting parts from inventory.
  • Order tools and supplies as required to maintain consumables and shared tooling for team.
  • Maintain, audit, and inspect tools in accordance with tool management process.
  • Support field marking, tracking, and coordination with property office to capture incoming Real Property.
  • In conjunction with Facilities Engineering, provide regular audits and reports of critical spares.
  • Inspect and receive parts returning to stock from work orders.
  • Work with Purchasing teams to resolve items with procurement and quality issues.
  • Follow up with purchase team for returns (warranty, RMA).
  • Operate company equipment, e.g. electric pallet jacks, various size forklifts, common hand tools, and computer equipment.
  • Deliver kits and parts to staging areas or to work sites.
  • Maintain clean and safe work areas following company policies and industry best practices.
  • Inspect and verify incoming shipments to the facility. Must be able to work with shipping and receiving department to inspect and receive larger items that will not be stored in common inventory areas.
  • Work directly with planning and purchasing teams to ensure all daily requirements are met with each job.

Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree or High school diploma.
  • Must be able to read and take direction.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Costpoint, and familiar with Inventory software (i.e. Maximo, Coupa, etc.)
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. and work extended periods in various climates and conditions.
  • Ability to work above 8 feet.
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as required.

  • Required for Certain Job Profiles: Drivers who operate Commercial Motor Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or combination of power unit and trailer that meets or exceeds 10,001 lbs. and/or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce, may be subject to additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including: Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification, Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing (CDL drivers only), vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training.
