Summary/Objective
We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist who embodies our belief in delivering equal value to our company, our customers, and our employees. This role plays a critical part in creating, processing, and managing customer invoices accurately and efficiently, while also supporting Mahaney's mission through timely payment processing and clean financial records. You'll build positive, solution-focused relationships with both internal teams and external customers.

Success in this role requires relentless problem-solving, clear and professional communication, and the ability to remain focused and composed in a high-demand, deadline-driven environment. You will be a key player in keeping our invoice process running smoothly, ensuring financial accuracy, and supporting the overall health of the company.

Core Responsibilities
  • Process daily deposits with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Enter financial data consistently and meticulously to maintain clean records.
  • Generate and distribute customer invoices via mail and email with professionalism.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies by communicating clearly with customers and sales teams.
  • Support the company's financial health through proactive collections and follow-up.
  • Complete period-end reporting and audits to support transparent decision-making.
  • Crosstrain in other accounting areas to contribute to team agility and continuous improvement.
  • Assist in managing inbound communication, routing calls to the appropriate departments.


Position Requirements
  • 2 years minimum experience in Accounts Receivable role.
  • Understanding of general accounting principles preferred.
  • Proficient in 10 Key by touch and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communicator-clear, professional, and respectful.
  • Detail-oriented with a relentless commitment to accuracy and problem resolution.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and eager to contribute to the success of the team.
  • Able to balance individual tasks while collaborating effectively with others.
  • Organized, accountable, and able to thrive in a deadline-driven work setting.

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool, as necessary.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time non-exempt position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a 1-hour lunch.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Hourly rate is commensurate with position, education, and experience.
