Category Manager, Warehouse & Fulfillment

Purpose of the job

This position is responsible for managing HH Global's third-party (3PL) North American warehousing and fulfillment supplier panel, ensuring that supplier capabilities, locations, and certifications meet client requirements.

This will be a hybrid position based in Chicago, Illinois. This role will be required to be in office 2 days per week, with the ability to work from home the remaining days.

Key responsibilities

• Optimize strategic relationships with leading warehouse and fulfillment partners across North America extracting maximum value and capabilities for the benefit of HH Global and our clients.
• Continually evaluating potential new warehousing and fulfillment partners across North America that align with current and future client needs.
• Negotiate, develop and manage service level agreements, pricing, and contractual terms with key third-party logistics providers for the benefit of HH Global and our clients.
• Negotiate and finalize cost rate cards with 3PL providers, ensuring all relevant terms and conditions are carefully reviewed and agreed.
• Coordinate with internal teams to evaluate proposals, address any questions regarding pricing structures or service levels, and confirm that finalized rate cards align with organizational budget requirements and warehousing strategies.
• Serve as the primary advocate for warehouse suppliers servicing HH Global clients.
• Manage warehouse transitions for both new and existing clients, including planning and coordinating any technological development and the physical relocation of materials.
• Address performance issues promptly by identifying challenges early, providing constructive feedback and support, and collaborating on solutions.
• Help facilitate and monitor annual physical inventories at 3PL providers.
• Monitor, verify and maintain compliance to 3PL partners' relevant certifications.
• Present to internal teams, clients and other category managers our North American footprint and warehousing solution.
• Coordinate activities with internal warehouse leadership as required.

Knowledge, Skills + Experience

• 10+ years of experience in a senior management role in warehousing or the fulfillment sector.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Bachelor's degree Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
• Member in a relevant professional organization (e.g., CSCMP, ASCM) preferred.
• Experience in contract development and negotiation.
• Strategy development experience, with an ability to develop and manage a North America-wide category plan for outsourced Warehousing + Fulfillment.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong influencing skills to manage client services teams requirements and expectations from 3PL service providers.
• Flexible and self-motivated.
