Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work ON-SITE with our client in Geneva, OH. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • Performs testing and troubleshooting of electronic equipment to meet production schedules and performance standards.
  • Receives instructions on daily work and new assignments.
  • Duties and tasks are standardized, but what is performed will vary daily.
  • Performs various production assembly operations on electronic components and sub-assemblies.
  • Uses test procedures, drawings, schematics, and verbal/written instructions to test and troubleshoot units.
  • Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature, where the ability to recognize nonconformities is needed.
  • Communicates openly and effectively in a professional manner.
  • Understands and follows all safety requirements.
  • Understands and follows all ISO practices and procedures.
  • Maintains fixturing, performs calibration, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance.
  • Assist with training other AE employees in established processes.
  • Performs the set-up, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.
  • Documents test results accurately.
  • Act as the technical interface with other departments.
  • Models professional and positive work ethics.
  • Considers the impact of quality on customers when making decisions.
  • Many tasks are repetitive in motion and include electronic assembly equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 / hr.

Hours: 40 hrs/Week.

Shift: 7am - 4:30pm, M-Th and 7:00am to 11:00am on Fridays (all year). We may ask if they are willing to adjust times to get more work done; one tech starts at 5:00 and the other starts at 8:00 so we can make better use of the equipment. Anyone new would start at 7:00 until trained.

Length: Contract (12 months).

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Associate Degree in Electronics.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in adapting to a team environment.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in testing electrical circuits and assemblies.
  • Understanding of ESD practices.
  • Basic knowledge of electro-mechanical testing and circuit analysis.
  • Soldering skills are needed.
  • Ability to perform basic electro-mechanical assembly.
  • Ability to effectively work in a team environment.
  • Ability to perform basic reading, writing, and math functions.
  • Component identification and the ability to read technical assembly documentation and schematics are needed.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Basic knowledge of SAP.

Additional Information:

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
  • Works in a manufacturing environment that is noisy and fast-paced.
  • Overtime (OT) be needed in times of increased production.
  • Standing 40% approx.
  • Walking 20%
  • Sitting 40% approx.
  • Carrying 30 LBS.
  • Pushing 50 LBS.
  • Pulling 50 LBS.
