Marketing Proposal Coordinator

Timmons Group is seeking Marketing Proposal Coordinators with direct experience in infrastructure engineering and/or geospatial technology proposals to join our dynamic Marketing Team. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented, proactive marketing professional who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and enjoys collaborating with technical teams to develop winning proposals for public-sector clients.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience developing proposals for infrastructure projects such as transportation, water/wastewater, stormwater, site development, or similar civil engineering disciplines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Lead proposals for infrastructure and geospatial pursuits, including but not limited to, RFP, RFQ, and SOQ responses for local, state, and federal clients-primarily in VA and NC with occasional support in other markets.
• Manage the full proposal process: schedule and lead kickoff/review meetings, set timelines, track deadlines, and coordinate team inputs.
• Write, edit, and organize content-project descriptions, resumes, technical narratives, and executive summaries-with a focus on civil/infrastructure services.
• Collaborate with technical staff to translate complex technical information into clear, compelling, client-focused messaging.
• Develop and maintain marketing collateral such as project sheets, staff bios, and boilerplate content.
• Research market trends, track leads, and gather competitive intelligence to support business development.
• Maintain accurate pursuit records and assist with CRM (Deltek Vantagepoint) updates.
• Support business development activities, including events, award submissions, and digital content coordination.

Skills/Requirements:

• 2-5 years of experience developing proposals for infrastructure engineering projects preferred, other AEC experience nice to have.
• Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills, especially for technical and client-focused narratives.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams).
• Familiarity with Deltek Vantagepoint or similar CRM software is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, or a related field preferred but not required.
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset.
