Position Summary:

The Vision Inspection Operator is responsible for operating automated vision inspection machines to ensure products meet quality standards and customer specifications. This role involves monitoring equipment, performing routine maintenance, and documenting inspection results. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and able to work effectively in a manufacturing environment with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities



  • Operate and monitor automated vision inspection machines in accordance with defined procedures.
  • Adjust machine components/settings to meet part or process requirements.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and ensure equipment calibration is maintained.
  • Identify and segregate nonconforming products based on inspection outcomes.
  • Document inspection results in logs, reports, and quality databases.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve inspection-related issues.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas in accordance with housekeeping and safety protocols.
  • Follow all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations.
  • Work extended hours, overtime, or weekends as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.



Must Have



  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1-2 years of experience in quality inspection, machine operation, automated inspection equipment, or related experience.
  • Must have 20/20 correctable vision to perform inspection tasks.
  • Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence and communicate effectively in small groups.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic, calculate rates/percentages, and interpret bar graphs.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) and standard computer operation.



Good to Have



  • Familiarity with traceability and documentation systems in quality control.
  • Knowledge of machine calibration procedures and minor maintenance tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a production setting.
  • Understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) or ISO quality standards.
