Supervisor, Outpatient Diagnostic Imaging, Montvale

Reporting to and functioning under general supervision of the Manager, the Diagnostic Imaging Supervisor manages the daily operations and staff of the outpatient imaging facility which includes multiple imaging modalities and registration.

  He/she assures preparation is complete for a variety of radiologic procedures to produce images of the body for the diagnosis of pathological conditions and traumatic disorders.

  May operate radiation producing equipment following specific physician orders and produces detailed images of patients for diagnostic information.

  Verifies patient identification process prior to imaging, selects patient worklist, ensures exam is obtained and archived on the PACS and completed properly in the RIS. Ensures facilities are in proper order.

  Must keep abreast of all imaging protocols and new imaging equipment. Collaborates with Supervisors of each modality at the hospital to ensure protocols are current and modality procedures are up-to-date.

  Ensures imaging center runs smoothly and efficiently.

  Education Completion from an accredited Radiology Technology program and registered by the ARRT.

  Experience Three to five year's experience as a staff imaging technologist and proficient in performing all procedures pertinent to area of responsibility.

  
  
• 
  

  Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience desired.

  
  

Advanced registry in one modality strongly preferred.
