Museum and Outreach Educator Requisition ID: 2025-9324 # of Openings: 1 Location: US-UT-Logan Category: Program Management & Support Position Type: Non-benefited (hourly) Part-Time Job Classification: Non-Benefited College: President Department: Art Museum Advertised Salary: $20 hourly rate Overview The Nora Eccles Harrison Museum of Art (NEHMA) at Utah State University seeks an experienced and enthusiastic educator to prepare, teach, and lead educational programs for all ages and abilities. This position involves planning and implementing educational programs that enhance learning about art, art history, and other arts integration subjects for preschool, K-12, and adult audiences. The Museum & Outreach Educator teaches K-12 and community audiences at NEHMA. This position also drives the Mobile Art Truck to districts in Utah. These school programs will range from individual classes for a specific group to extensive field trips serving an entire school over several days. Traveling locally with the Mobile Art Truck occurs monthly during the school year. Traveling distances in Utah outreach occurs in the fall and spring. Traveling locally with the Mobile Art Truck occurs monthly, and with advanced notice, longer trips further out in Utah will occur approximately six weeks of the year. The average hours per week is 26, with 65% teaching at events, 15% setting up events, and 20% preparing for events. The Museum & Outreach Educator reports to the Coordinator of Learning and Engagement. Training and guiding student and/or part-time employees may occur. Responsibilities Typical Functions:
