National Grid is hiring a Senior Analyst for our Inventory Management department based in Syracuse, NY.

The Role

The Senior Analyst will be responsible for defining and implementing inventory targets and replenishment strategies to manage inventory across the Gas and Electric business units for National Grid's NY Operations Support organization.

What You'll Do

* Develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders to obtain and share information to benefit National Grid's inventory management organization
* Perform analysis and management of inventory levels, customer demand, re-order points, min/max levels, master data, consumption trends, supplier lead times, and other operational/procurement considerations to ensure the continuous flow of inventory materials to the respective warehouses
* Provide all aspects of materials management related to process and systems expertise, including business support of inventory systems and technology hardware, reporting, and end user training
* Monitor, follow up and coordinate with suppliers on expected deliveries, change orders, overdue or late deliveries
* Coordinate with Master Data team, Engineering, operations, and warehouse operations to ensure appropriate setup of inventory material items and IDs in SAP

About You

* Bachelor's degree required
* 3+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Materials Planning, Estimating or Purchasing required
* SAP experience required
* Demonstrated ability to interpret information and use critical thinking skills to analyze data relationships among several parts of a problem; clearly articulate options to resolve and any findings required
* Proven experience dealing with stakeholders and taking personal responsibility for driving performance required
* Valid driver's license required

Salary

$81,000 - $92,000 a year

This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills.
