As Principal Engineer Full Stack Development, you will engage in the design, systems architecture, development, and testing of the VBG Business products and pricing/promos product areas. This crucial role includes leading the detailed design and solutions to support end-to-end delivery for various Business programs and pricing/promos product areas utilizing the Offer Management Platform. You will be a technology lead responsible for aligning solutions with the strategic North Star Architecture (NSA), collaborating with numerous cross-functional and business teams, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality results that support our diverse business needs. Key Responsibilities:
Leading detailed design and development of end-to-end implementation. Working through the various phases of the Product Development Life Cycle, analyze critical production issues, and plan for proper resolution. Defining and driving the architecture, modernization, and consolidation of legacy ordering systems. Driving strategic oversight, cross-functional team collaboration, and vendor governance for your product teams (ACTs). Creating system design documentation, methods of procedure, and executive briefings. Present cohesive yet easily understandable design walkthroughs by researching and evaluating new technologies and translating business objectives and strategies into plans. Leading discussions that drive collaboration and alignment across various business and VGS-Tech teams. Preparing and delivering compelling presentations and briefings to executive stakeholders from both VGS-GTS and various business groups. Utilizing excellent communication abilities to articulate the vision and translate complex issues into comprehensible ideas and concepts. Ensuring compliance and security for our systems. Leading the customer-focused culture dedicated to enhancing customer satisfaction with extended field focus by performing center visits, focus groups, and process reviews. Creating and enforcing operational policies, procedures, standards, guidelines, and best practices. Championing technology innovations through Hackathons, Ideathons, and various other crowdsourcing activities.
You'll need to have:
Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience. Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training. Experience with technologies such as Java/J2EE, Oracle, SQL, React, Spring Cloud, Spring Boot, Netflix-Zuul, Redis, Rabbit-MQ, Kafka, MQ, Kibana, Grafana. Experience with Large Scale Distributed Systems development. Experience with Global teams. Experience with client stakeholdering and regular updates to Senior Leadership.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. Experience with Pega Case Management, PEGA CDH, BPM, Generative AI (LLMs) & Agentic AI, and Multi-Cloud (AWS, GCP). Experience in networking, applications, infrastructure, or database architectures. Knowledge of Verizon Business products, including Wireless. Experience with innovative application of data- and metric-driven performance management to lower cost and drive efficiency. Experience developing applications and API frameworks to enable large-scale efficiencies. Experience to lead complex projects by bringing together the right perspectives, identifying roadblocks, and integrating feedback from clients and team members. Experience to lead and participate in performance tests to identify bottlenecks, opportunities for optimization, and capacity demands for product launches. Experience in noSQL databases like Cassandra. Experience developing highly available and scalable applications in AWS. Knowledge of DevOps tools (Gitlab, Jenkins, Docker, Ansible, JIRA). Knowledge of AWS and Kubernetes/OCP certification. Knowledge of security best practices and OWASP vulnerabilities. Experience leading and mentoring multiple teams and products.

The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
The annual salary range for the location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $120,500.00 - $231,000.00.
