The Event Management Gameday Assistant is an event-based position that provides support to the Athletics Event Management unit.
Responsibilities:
Drive golf cart shuttles
Assist with concession queueing
Facilitate check-in for other gameday staff
Run timing, scoring, and other operations at Athletics events
QUALIFICATIONS:
Reliable, dependable and professional
Strong communication skills (oral and interpersonal) with a focus on customer service
Ability to accept direction and constructive criticism
Ability to work effectively in a team
Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift/carry up to 50 lbs
Motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to do variety of tasks.
WORK HOURS:
Events occur on nights and weekends. Events may also take place over school breaks (Thanksgiving, Winter Break, Spring Break). Gameday Assistants will work home Football games, in addition to assigned events for other Hawkeye sports such as Track and Field, Volleyball, Men's and Women's Basketball and more. |
