Job Description Supports the Department of Risk Management to ensure program goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed time-frame and funding parameters. This position will primarily focus on the review, renewal, and maintenance of various insurance policies, ensuring adequate coverage for the organization's risks while optimizing costs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of insurance principles and excellent analytical and communication skills. Job Responsibility
- Critically review existing insurance policies (e.g., General Liability, Property, Workers' Compensation, Professional Liability, Cyber Liability, etc.) to identify potential gaps in coverage, exclusions, and areas for improvement.
- Lead the insurance renewal process, including gathering necessary information, communicating with brokers, analyzing quotes, negotiating terms, and ensuring timely policy renewals.
- Liaises with relevant departments and outside parties to ensure information provided is comprehensive and received in timely manner.
- Coordinates the legal expenses and indemnity payments for the organization.
- Obtains and processes authorization documents and payment requests.
- Tracks and maintains records of payments to third party administrators.
- Reviews and determines appropriate handling of incoming correspondence.
- Enters information into data management system.
- Reports to management on the status of projects, maintains appropriate files, follows up on tasks and open items.
- Plans and organizes relevant meetings and conference calls, reviews meeting materials, and prepares presentations, when necessary.
- Performs special projects and prepares data analysis reports for management.

Job Qualification
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience, required.
- Risk management with insurance knowledge preferred.
