Accounting Analyst

The Accounting Analyst is responsible for the following:

• Maintenance of the general ledger including requesting new general ledger accounts and validating set up of new accounts.
• Preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Monitoring internal control procedures to ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley controls.
• Leading, training and directing staff at offshore business partners.
• Performing variance analysis.
• Assisting in the compilation and analysis of accounting and finance information for the production of financial statements, including the notes and reports.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; if no degree in Accounting or Finance, must have a Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Accounting Designation (i.e. CPA, CMA, CA)
• Accounting or Finance internship experience; or a minimum of 6 months of professional work experience in the related field
• Experience in general ledger and month end closing, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations and expense variation analysis
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum of at least 1 year experience in accounting or financial analysis
• Experience with PSAP a plus
• Experience with OneStream or similar account reconciliation tool
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrate team building skills
• Ability to work independently and multi-task
• Excellent accounting, analytical and teamwork skills
• Ability to work under pressure and in a time constrained environment
