Essential Duties and Accountabilities:



  • Read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations;
  • Write reports, business correspondence, and procedural instructions;
  • Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to internal and external customers;
  • Calculate figures and amounts such as interest, proportions, and percentages;
  • Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions;
  • Deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables;
  • Principles of logical thinking to a wide range of practical problems;
  • Provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity;
  • Frequently apply technical principles, theories, concepts, standards, and techniques;
  • Travel with limited prior notice;


  • Imaging desktop systems;
  • Update, upgrade, backup and restore databases;
  • Install switches and routers;
  • Configure TCP/IP Printing;
  • Maintain and support commonly used NAVY systems such as FedLog, Nalcomis, etc;
  • Implement and maintain networks to include all aspects of cabling
  • Implement and maintain wireless networks
  • Obtain and maintain any/all Company/Government security credentials/clearance required to access work locations, systems, and military installations.


  • Work with Microsoft Active Directory and Windows operating systems
  • Configure, deploy and support f Microsoft Office suite of products, and Office 365
  • Windows 10 deployment via MDT
  • Configure LAN and WAN environments including IP subnets
  • Troubleshooting Network issues
  • Setup and configure remote networks on Deployments.
  • Configure and maintain Pair Gain Modems
  • Printer troubleshooting, repair and fleet management
  • Proactive maintenance: mass upgrade of drivers; firmware (BIOS/UEFI); printer firmware
  • Maintain Bit Locker full disk encryption
  • Support after hour emergency issues as needed.
  • Deployment / Remote support
  • Support OOMA / NALCOMIS client configuration.
  • First level support of NMCI network on detachments
  • Work with team members to understand & update system configuration documents and technical specifications and document system changes
  • Provide input for the establishment of system policies and procedures, standards and schedules
  • Document changes in general
  • Assist all users with any IT related incident when called upon
  • Take ownership of issues by carrying out problem analysis to implement temporary or permanent fixes with the aim of restoring service to the customer as soon as possible; escalating incidents to other support teams where necessary
  • Accurately record, update and document requests using the IT service desk system
  • Install and configure new IT equipment
  • Support Android and IOS Tablets, and Cellular Phones
  • Resolve incidents and upgrade different types of software and hardware
  • Maintain a first class level of customer service ensuring that all customers are treated efficiently and in an appropriate manner
  • Maintain excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues at all levels in the organization
  • Team player with the skills and ability to manage changing priorities
  • Work a flexible schedule when needed, to include weekends and holidays



Qualification Standards:

U.S. Citizenship or Resident Alien Status necessary to comply with Government and ITAR laws and regulations;
High school diploma and eight (8) years of IT (non exempt) experience; or Associates degree with four (4) years of IT (non exempt) related experience.
Experience must be in providing information technology application solutions appropriate to business needs, more specifically desktop support and customer service.
Must have strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.
Must be able to communicate technical issues verbally and in writing.
This position requires Travel of up to 20% of the time. Must have a valid state driver's license.

Physical Demands:

This classification activity is usually accomplished in a office, and hangar environment and as such requires the scope of physical movements and postures normally associated with these activities. May be required to lift objects whose weight normally will not exceed 50 pounds. Special vision abilities required to perform this job are close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus.

Work Environment:

The diversity of work conditions may range from an environment where there is little or no physical discomfort, to an environment where inclement weather may subject individual to severe changes of temperature, wind, rain, etc. May be required to work in areas where high noise hazards prevail. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles. May be exposed to electrical shock hazards.

Licensing/Certification Requirements:



  • Valid state driver's license
  • ORM training
  • Cyber awareness training
