Job Title: Test Engineer I

FLSA Status: Exempt

Position Overview:

Precise is seeking a Test Engineer for a challenging and dynamic project. If you are innovative and experienced with testing support for multiple applications, then please apply today! We are also seeking someone with manual and automation testing experience.

Work Location: Work is remote with occasional visits to office- prefer DC metro area

Clearance Requirement: Successful candidates must be a USC/GC/EAD and are able to complete a Public Trust background check (must have resided in the United States for the past 3 years).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Involve in planning, monitoring, organizing and controlling of testing activities and tasks.
  • Develop test objectives, test policies, test strategies and test plans.
  • Deploy and manage tools/resources for testing.
  • Define test estimation techniques.
  • Perform project risk analysis and design plans/ solutions to address them.
  • Generate test evaluation reports.
  • Analyze, design, develop, and maintain test cases, test approaches, and test plans.
  • Conduct functional testing, regression testing, and system integration testing, support user acceptance testing (UAT), and report issues found during test execution.
  • Develop/Review test artifacts (test cases, test specifications, etc.) that validate requirements.
  • Perform root cause analysis when issue is identified in the application.
  • Support continuous improvement of test processes.
  • Create Test deliverables at the end of each sprint/release.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Education: BA/BS Information Systems, Business, or related field.
  • Five plus years of experience with functional Testing.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of the software development life cycle.
  • Expertise with writing test cases and test procedures.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Possess excellent problem-solving and analytical reasoning skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a remote team or with geographically dispersed team.
