Saint Louis University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution dedicated to student learning, research, health care, and service is seeking applicants for a postdoctoral fellow position in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Medical Genetics.

The candidate will join a dynamic, interdisciplinary team that uses cell biology, protein engineering, biochemistry, human immunology and molecular biology techniques to understand lysosomal dysfunction in rare genetic disorders. The successful candidate must be highly motivated with extensive experience within one or more of the following areas: single cell sequencing, cell culture, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, organelle, and cell/molecular biology, while experience with advanced imaging techniques is advantageous. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in lysosomal biology. The candidate is expected to conduct independent lab work and have a strong record of scientific productivity. He or she should be able to think critically about complex problems and contribute to a team-working environment to advance research projects.

The Montano laboratory is collaborative and supports diversity. The candidate will be responsible for working with other researchers, graduate, and undergraduate students in the lab and participate in maintaining a strong lab culture within the research group. The job requirements include a Ph.D. in biochemistry, cell biology, molecular biology or other relevant scientific field and from 0 to 4 years of post-doctoral experience.
