Broad Function:

The IT Manager for the Aerospace & Defense (A&D) Sector is responsible for leading the alignment of IT services and capabilities with business needs across multiple sites in the Syracuse area. This role serves as a strategic liaison between local site leadership and enterprise IT teams, ensuring that technology solutions support business operations effectively and efficiently.

In place of direct day-to-day IT operations management, the primary focus of this role is on partnering with cross-functional teams, advocating for site needs, ensuring adherence to IT standards and compliance, and driving IT initiatives that enhance business performance.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary liaison between Syracuse-based sites and centralized IT organizations, translating business needs into IT solutions.
  • Serve as a liaison with Engineering system to ensure alignment with IT
  • Represent site interests in broader IT initiatives, roadmaps, and strategy sessions, ensuring alignment with sector and enterprise goals.
  • Support the implementation and adoption of shared IT services, infrastructure systems, and standardized processes across all Syracuse locations.
  • Provide oversight and governance of local IT contracts, service level agreements, vendor relationships, and compliance activities.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to identify opportunities for leveraging technology to improve efficiency, productivity, and operational effectiveness.
  • Support and help coordinate IT activities such as security reviews, audits, risk assessments, user access management, and infrastructure lifecycle planning.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the IT budget and long-term technology planning.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence and partner across organizational boundaries.
  • Solid understanding of IT operations and enterprise architecture in a manufacturing or defense-related environment.
  • Demonstrated experience acting as an IT liaison or relationship manager, translating business needs into IT priorities.
  • Project management skills and experience managing initiatives across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Working knowledge of compliance and cybersecurity frameworks including NIST 800-171/800-53/CMMC and SOX.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Experience supporting multi-site operations and distributed teams.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and navigate complex organizational environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with IT governance, budgeting, and performance metrics.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance

Education: Associate Degree required, Bachelors Preferred

Experience: 5-7 Years

Compensation and Benefits:

TTM offers a variety of health and well-being benefit programs. Benefits are available on the 1st of the month following date of hire. For some positions, only PTO and holiday benefits are offered.

Compensation ranges for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At TTM Technologies, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on each individual set of circumstances. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:

$86,756 - $152,571

Additional compensation: An annual or quarterly company bonus may apply based on position assignment. Positions hired for alternative shift may be eligible for a shift premium based on the assigned shift and location.

Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC including but not limited to: a) being able to identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understand that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents; b) recognition ofForeign Person visitors by badge differentiation; c) understand and follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL); d) understand the Export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US; e) manage vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.
