This is a high-impact, visible role with end-to-end project ownership and strong cross-functional collaboration. You'll also grow your skills, influence long-term automation strategy, and build a career path in engineering leadership or advanced manufacturing innovation.

You will:

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to integrate automation systems into existing operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement through kaizen events, lean work cell design, and cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Support standardization and documentation by developing and maintaining manufacturing documentation such as SOPs, routers, and work instructions.
  • Ensure safety and compliance by conducting risk assessments and applying relevant industry standards and protocols.

Key Qualifications:

  • Have earned a bachelor's (B.S.) degree in electrical, mechanical, industrial engineering, or related technical field.
  • Have 3+ years of hands-on experience working with automation systems in manufacturing, warehouse, or logistics environments-such as PLC programming, HMI design, or robotic system integration.
  • Proficiency with industrial control platforms such as Allen-Bradley (Rockwell), Siemens, or Fanuc; experience with troubleshooting and optimizing control systems and automated equipment.
  • Familiarity with robotic systems used in production or warehouse automation, including pick-and-place, material handling, or AGVs (automated guided vehicles).
  • Experience applying Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement principles (e.g., kaizen, 5S, standard work).
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead initiatives and collaborate across departments.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Working knowledge of automation safety standards (e.g., OSHA, NFPA 79, ISO 13849).
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-mix environment with both legacy and modern systems.
