Join us as our newest Operator I in Animal Health & Enzymes!

This position works under close supervision and is primarily responsible for operating in the AHE department. The areas are defined as Small Pack, Intermediate Blending & Enzymes, Prepping & Scaling, Large Blending, and Bovamine.

In this role you'll make an impact by:

  • Prepares packaging goods for the filling of finished goods or bulk materials (canisters, pouches, bottles, cartons, bags, drums, totes) according to work instructions.

  • Prints labels for products.

  • Operating fillers, inkjets, induction sealers, carton makers, blenders, conveyors, grinders, bag sealers, palletizer and scales.

  • Verifies lots and batch numbers and dispenses materials into blending vessel.

  • Palletizes finished products and stages in proper area for Production Services to store in warehouse.

  • Confirms finished products and goods issues in SAP.

  • Reviews processes and methods for continuous and on-going improvements.

  • Assists and performs routine maintenance (i.e. changing gaskets, filters, springs), notifying maintenance and/or Supervisor when necessary.

  • Troubleshoots and/or identifies equipment failures or problems.

  • Sanitize equipment with full cleans according to schedule.

  • Takes necessary samples for QC testing and for customer pre-shipment samples as needed.

  • Completes necessary paperwork and/or data entry for production and/or inventory records.

  • Adheres to all good manufacturing practices (GMP), sanitary and safety requirements, and ISO and Standardized Work procedures in accordance with global and local CH standards and local regulations.

  • Adheres to guidelines as set forth by religious dietary law certifications (Kosher and Halal).

To succeed you must have:

  • The ability to read, write and speak English.

  • The ability to apply basic mathematical concepts to the production process.

  • The ability to read and follow work instructions.

  • The ability to operate a pallet walker and/or forklift, preferred.

  • The ability to use basic hand tools (hammer, screwdriver, wrench) for assembly and disassembly of equipment.

  • The ability to communicate effectively with co-workers regarding the status of the production process.

  • Basic computer skills.

  • ERP system knowledge (SAP), preferred.

(These characteristics are normally acquired through a High School Diploma or GED with experience in a production environment preferred)

Shift:

6am -2:30pm (+ opportunity for overtime)

Location: New Berlin, Wisconsin

Expected pay range: $19+

(based on experience and expertise)
