YOU As the Sr. Manager - Production and Material Scheduling, you are responsible for aligning company policy and direction while providing leadership to the Inside Sales, Production Planning and Purchasing areas to provide adequate inventory and on time delivery. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING(% of Time) While working within company and branch guidelines, the Sr. Manager, Production and Material Scheduling will oversee and manage all phases of the branch Inside Sales, Purchasing and Production Planning processes. (50%) Lead, motivate and direct employees using effective performance management techniques, including establishing expectations and goals, providing recognition and feedback, and addressing performance problems. Coach, encourage, and develop employees according to their unique interests and strengths. Empower employees to take responsibility for their career and performance. Delegate responsibility and expect accountability and regular feedback. Foster a spirit of teamwork and unity among department members and the organization. (30%) Continuously strive to analyze processes and encourage initiatives to facilitate continuous improvements in quality, cost reductions, LEAN manufacturing processes, safety, warehousing and distribution. (10%) Work effectively with home office and other branch departments to ensure proper inter-departmental communication and coordination. Interact regularly to effectively coordinate activities, evaluate concerns and determine resolutions to customer related issues. (10%) DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

WORK ENVIRONMENT This job operates in a professional office environment where standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printer/scanner, etc. are frequently used. TRAVEL This job requires up to 20% domestic travel. WORK STATUS & LOCATION This full-time, exempt position is located in Gallatin, TN. RELOCATION Relocation is not available for this position. PAY $91,300 - $155,200 / year REWARDS AT SIMPSON STRONG-TIE We recognize and reward employees with a carefully designed and comprehensive rewards package, including competitive compensation, quarterly bonuses or commission and first-rate benefits.
