Job Summary

The professional will manage activities in a lab that is focused on improving the detection, diagnosis, and care for people with Alzheimer's disease and related diseases. This will require management of the TabCAT software platform, which is a cognitive testing software that is widely used by research studies and clinicians. In this role, the professional will interface with a team of software engineers and with the scientific team to ensure that the platform is maintained and updated to meet the lab's priorities and needs, as well as interface with the many users to address their technical, scientific, and clinical needs and queries. The professional will help manage the finances for maintaining TabCAT software, which includes helping to facilitate the initiation and maintenance of licensing arrangements and subcontracts. The professional will be knowledgeable about privacy and security policies as they relate to the use of this software in different research and clinical environments and will guide decisions about its use based on this knowledge. With her supervisor, the professional will manage the activities of the lab that include oversight of new data collection, IRB, expense reports, preparation of progress reports, support with grant preparations, creating reference lists, preparing datasets, and organizing and running meetings. The professional will research, analyze, and develop solutions to a wide range of issues. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Primarily deals with policies, programs and proposals which are complex in nature and diverse in scope. Develops new programs, policies or procedures for possible implementation

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.

The salary range for this position is $80,200 - $120,300 (Annual Rate).

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
• Knowledge of common organization- or research-specific and other computer application programs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to use discretion and maintain all confidentiality.
• Analytical / problem-solving skills.
• Strong skills in analyzing, researching and synthesizing large amounts of data for preparing sound and relevant proposals / analyses.
• Ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes.
• Strong policy analysis techniques.
