West Virginia University (WVU) invites applications for a remote or on-campus Teaching Assistant Professor position in its CACREP-Accredited Master's level Counseling program, beginning in August 2026. This faculty position is housed in the School of Education and Counseling within the College of Applied Human Sciences at West Virginia University. This faculty member will provide leadership and support as a Core Faculty member in our program's School Counseling specialization, through both teaching and service responsibilities. This position is eligible for a remote or an on-campus faculty appointment. Appointment Responsibilities For a remote faculty assignment, the course teaching responsibilities will consist of online coursework, though will require presence in-person on the Morgantown campus twice per academic year for "immersion week" activities for online students. Immersion week is a week-long, in-person, training requirement for all online students. For an on-campus faculty assignment, the course teaching responsibilities will be a mix of in-person and online coursework. The successful candidate will also be expected to provide service to the school, college, university, and profession. The service responsibilities could include program coordination and/or clinical field placement coordination depending on previous experience. Qualifications
