Job Description: Increase company profitability and customer satisfaction by overseeing warehouse operations to achieve production and quality standards . Manage the day-to-day operations of the distribution center to include forecasting, strategy execution and staffing. Assure all work is performed in a safe, secure, efficient and cost-effective manner that complies with company policy, OSHA and other regulations. Provide direction and guidance to team members to assure daily productivity and quality standards are achieved. Establish work procedures that support Galls, LLC and departmental standards. Conduct continual evaluation of processes and procedures and execute new methods to improve area operations and efficiency. Assist in personnel decision to include training and evaluating performance of associates. Address disciplinary and/or performance problems according to company policy. Assure necessary manpower is scheduled appropriately to achieve all operational goals. Assure associates are properly trained and coached to efficiently and effectively perform in cross functional areas of the operation and that they have the appropriate tools and resources to perform task assigned. Provide efficient and productive communication within the warehouse as well as with other departments within Galls. Provide performance feedback on a regular basis to each team member to maximize performance. Troubleshot issues as they arise and implement efficient and effective resolution. Maintain necessary spreadsheets to track business metrics. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs. * Perform regularly scheduled cycle counts by location, product number and description. Count, verify and sort inventory. Perform random audits on both reserve and active locations. Monitor inventory on a daily basis and perform scheduled audits to assure accuracy. Troubleshoot daily inventory control issues and reconcile any inventory variances. Monitor and research issues resulting from "Unselected" orders Make inventory adjustments, transfers and transactions as needed and log, file, maintain all documents pertaining to inventory modifications Perform audits on processes within Outbound, Inbound/Returns, Production, Inventory Control and Support Services to ensure standard operating procedure is followed resulting in accurate and efficient work. Document and report findings to include any discovered gaps or errors. Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly appearance in the work area. Alert management of potential safety problems or violations. Work overtime as business dictates. Stand for full shift and lift up to 60 pounds and bend, twist, grab, squat, push, pull, stand, walk or perform any other physical movements required to complete daily tasks. Operate MHE as required to fulfill department tasks. Flex schedule and work overtime as business dictates.
