We are seeking an experienced and strategic Embedded Security Director to lead an Executive Protection program for a high-profile corporate client based in Mountain View, CA. This role is embedded full-time on the client's corporate campus and is responsible for overseeing executive protection operations, engaging with C-Suite Executives, executive assistants, and managing a dedicated team of security professionals.

The ideal candidate brings a strong background in executive protection corporate security and superior leadership capabilities, and the ability to manage complex security operations with discretion, diplomacy, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Oversee and manage all aspects of the executive protection operations, including security staff, travel logistics, quarterly business reviews and key performance indicators.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the client and key internal/external stakeholders regarding all executive protection-related matters.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of EP agents and security professionals; manage scheduling, performance, and training.
  • Design, implement, and manage safety and security principles, policies, SOPs, and training programs that align with corporate standards.
  • Develop and maintain protection strategies, conduct threat and risk assessments, and coordinate travel logistics for domestic and international movements.
  • Implement a comprehensive Security Risk Management (SRM) process; identify, assess, and mitigate risks at or below acceptable thresholds.
  • Provide situational awareness briefings, local risk updates, and actionable intelligence to key decision-makers.
  • Conduct site advances, risk assessments, and audits to ensure continuous compliance with internal protocols.
  • Support emergency response planning, incident management, and business continuity operations.


Required Qualifications:



  • Minimum of 7+ years in corporate security, executive protection, or a closely related field.
  • BSIS CA Guard Card
  • CCW and Exposed Firearm Permit highly desirable, but not required
  • Minimum of 3+ years in a leadership or management role, overseeing security teams specifically executive protection programs.
  • Proven experience in both operational and strategic security environments, including domestic and international travel security planning.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills; proven ability to interact professionally with high-profile individuals and executives.
  • Proficiency in modern communication and project management platforms (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, Asana, Zoom).
  • Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment, maintaining discretion and sound judgment at all times.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Prior experience supporting UHNW individuals, C-suite executives, or working in an embedded executive protection capacity.
  • Military, law enforcement, or intelligence agency background (prior or active security clearance)
  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or related field.
  • Clean driving record; defensive driving certification preferred.
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).


Work Conditions:



  • This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mountain View, CA.
  • Though this position is mainly Monday-Friday, it still requires flexibility in scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and travel as needed.
  • On occasion this role could involve occasional domestic and international travel in support of client movements and risk assessments.
