Mammography Technologist University Health - Advancing Excellence in Breast Imaging Position Summary: At University Health, our Mammography Technologists play a vital role in delivering compassionate, patient-centered breast imaging services. Under the direction of the Corporate Supervisor, Mammography, you'll contribute to a high-performing, quality-focused imaging team dedicated to early detection and improved outcomes. This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple locations, collaborate with clinical leaders, and support continual improvements in imaging quality and safety. What You'll Do:
Perform high-quality mammographic exams in accordance with department protocols and ACR/MQSA standards Actively contribute to the MQSA EQUIP quality program and participate in quality assurance initiatives Collaborate closely with the Lead Interpreting Physician (LIP) to maintain clinical excellence and ensure imaging protocols align with best practices Assist with training and evaluation of new technologists, supporting skill development across the department Cross-train in diagnostic X-ray as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a team-first approach Support a culture of safety, accuracy, and patient advocacy in every interaction
What You Bring:
High school diploma or equivalent Graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology [RT(R)]; must maintain registration CPR certification (required and must be current) Strong interpersonal, written, and digital communication skills Willingness and ability to perform diagnostic X-ray exams Proficiency with computers and imaging software Ability to lift up to 50 pounds to assist patients safely Flexibility to travel between University Health locations as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
ARRT (M) certification in Mammography Minimum 1 year of experience in mammographic imaging Knowledge of MQSA guidelines and ACR accreditation processes Experience in quality assurance and equipment performance monitoring Demonstrated ability to cross-train and maintain clinical competencies
