Cooper University Health Care (CUHC) is seeking an academic addiction medicine physician to join our growing addiction medicine division.

  • Cooper addiction medicine division is an interdisciplinary, medical specialty program within our university healthcare setting. Our division provides both inpatient and outpatient specialty care for individuals struggling with substance use disorders through a variety of programs including: a hospital consultation service, inpatient detoxification/stabilization and residential programs, emergency department and hospital bridge programs, community paramedicine and field buprenorphine initiation, jail transition care, outpatient group and specialty medical visits, a low barrier walk-in clinic, a wrap-around perinatal SUD program, dual diagnosis psychiatric and addiction medical care, integrated addiction and infectious disease care including HIV and hepatitis C treatment, and other innovative community work. We run several clinical innovation, education, and research programs.
  • The successful candidate should have a strong desire to shape the delivery of substance use disorder care and be versed in urban underserved care and harm reduction.
  • This physician would report to the division head of addiction medicine and would have an academic appointment at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University.

Completed fellowship in addiction medicine preferred.

Hourly Rate Min $117.79
Hourly Rate Max $163
