Position Title: Welder
Wage: $20-$23/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 5am-1:30pm Monday-Friday We are searching for candidates with MIG welding experience. This role can take a wide range of skills sets including skilled welders to candidates that have just completed their certification. This company offers merit raises and the opportunity to grow your skillset through on the job training! This is an associate to hire role in Kansas City, MO. Welder Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Apply appropriate welding process to materials and repair welds on parts per specifications - Perform as a team member which requires you to cross-train in other departments - Perform safety checks and preventative maintenance on welding equipment and completed products - Weld various metals such as stainless steel and galvanized - Read and understand tape measures, various gauges, work orders, charts and safety regulations - Knowledge and skills with multiple welding processes (Fuel Gas, Gas Metal Arc, Gas Tungsten Arc) Welder Requirements: - Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively - Must be able to stand, walk, and sit for extended amounts of time - Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel as needed - Must be able to read and interpret blueprints - High level of attention to detail and organized - Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate with customers, co-workers, and leaders - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Must be proficient with computers including handheld scanners - Function with a team, take direction, and have a positive attitude QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
