- Estimated annual base pay: $60,560.00(minimum) - $75,700.00(midpoint) - $90,840.00(maximum)

Are you ready to make your mark? If you're an Accountant, we have an exciting opportunity for you. This position reports to a leader within the Finance organization. The key purpose of this position is to provide financial accounting support in accordance with applicable regulatory and statutory requirements, and with Woodward policies and procedures. This position requires a moderate to high level of supervision; most work is still reviewed by the finance leader or a more senior accountant. In addition, this level has a significant amount of interaction with internal customers. What You Will Be Doing
- Understands and applies basic accounting principles to transactions of a routine nature as needed to ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements.
- Creates and posts basic journal entries in the General Ledger on a monthly basis to support the period end General Ledger close process.
- Prepares consolidated financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and stockholders equity statements, along with comprehensive footnotes in compliance with GAAP and other regulatory standards.
- Supports annual and quarterly filings.
- Prepare and analyze pension-related journal entries, including actuarial adjustments, service costs, interest costs, and expected returns on plan assets.
- Analyzes basic transactions or account balances to provide insight into account balances, period account activity, or specific journal entries.
- Runs standard reports (General Ledger, BPC, Business System) to facilitate reporting and analysis.
- Maintains schedules, templates, subsidiary ledgers, worksheets or other documents on an ongoing basis in order to ensure timeliness, consistency and accuracy of reported items.
- Performs reconciliation of general ledger account balances to supporting detail data on a monthly or quarterly basis in order to ensure the accuracy, validity and completeness of reported account balances. Applies appropriate disposition to reconciling items in a timely manner, or solicits help in doing so.
- Participates in process improvement and automation projects as needed to help achieve lean process objectives.
- Performs ad-hoc tasks and participates in special projects related to areas of responsibility as requested.
- Supports preparation of material for monthly and quartertly Leadership Team meetings.
- Supports internal and external audit requests for areas of responsibility.
- Supports and leads statutory audit requests for areas of responsibility.
- Supports maintenance of Sarbanes-Oxley documentation for areas of responsibility.
What We Are Looking For
- US - Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) required
- Less than 2 years' related experience required
- Experience working at a global company
- Basic computer experience and skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, core ERP System, General Ledger, etc.
- Ability to successfully apply basic US GAAP to situations and transactions.
- Experience preparing or auditing financial statements in compliance withUS GAAP
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- International Locations: Ability to effectively communicate in English.
- Builds and maintains effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Basic skills in problem solving and troubleshooting.
- Able to identify potential improvements in areas of responsibility.
