About the Role The Inside Sales Representative (ISR) role is responsible for identifying and qualifying accounts for development and potential transition to Outside Sales when revenue thresholds are met. The ISR will develop targeted business, develop and maintain customer relationships, communicate internally and externally via phone, email, and occasionally participate in outside sales calls, quote and negotiate rates as appropriate, maintain customer data, and work with internal stakeholders to deliver superior service to our customers. The ISR will work in a team environment to meet individual and team goals. Goals may include revenue, market share, volume, service specific goals, forecasting, and others as determined by the Regional Sales Director (RSD). The ISR will work with the regional sales team with the goal of maximizing their time spent with customers, on sales calls, and assisting in day-to-day administrative duties. Also serves as a point of contact in the absence of the regional sales team. Freight management and record keeping guided by the RSD is included. This position researches and gathers market intelligence and communicates to the team members as appropriate. The ISR must be comfortable cold-calling via phone and email. The ISR will contact all unassigned shippers in their region, as directed by the RSD. As secondary responsibility, due to unique office environment, the ISR assists the RSD in managing the PNW sales office administration. This includes processing the vendor invoices including the office rent and the leased equipment, preparing the meetings for visitors and annual hazmat training, ordering office supplies including Matson promo items, picking up and sending the mails, and keeping the office professionally in order. The annual salary range is posted for this position in Washington. The salary offered will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.
