DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will oversee the evaluation, analysis, and improvement of maintenance operations in accordance with established plant maintenance policies and procedures. Your role is vital in supporting the Allegheny County organization by managing daily activities related to planning, scheduling, budgeting, and executing work within the Plant Maintenance system. Effective communication and guidance will be essential as you work with personnel involved in Plant Maintenance, ensuring adherence to system procedures while assisting counties with their daily operational planning and resource management. You will also monitor and analyze labor, equipment, and material usage in field maintenance operations, gathering data on production units and resource utilization to ensure compliance with maintenance standards and identify any inconsistencies. Furthermore, your contributions will be crucial in helping both District and Allegheny County employees meet the environmental maintenance standards outlined in the Maintenance and Bridge Maintenance Manuals, as well as the Strategic Environmental Management Program (SEMP) Manual. It is important to recognize that all employees play a role in the District's commitment to effective environmental stewardship, working towards the objectives established in the Maintenance Unit business plan related to the SEMP. By actively supporting managers, supervisors, and staff, you will promote collaboration to achieve these environmental goals. Interested in learning more? - Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Schedule varies seasonally and/or due to operational needs
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Bridgeville.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $67,736 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience as a Roadway Programs Technician Supervisor or Roadway Programs Specialist or one year experience as a Roadway Programs Coordinator (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Two years of professional experience in the analysis, development and implementation of methods and techniques used in a roadway maintenance management system and a bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, mathematics, statistics, or in a civil engineering related discipline; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
