Job Summary:

The Airport Business Development Manager is responsible for securing, managing, and growing profitable partnerships with airports to support Clear Channel's strategic business goals. This role plays a key part in reinforcing Clear Channel's brand and leadership in airport advertising and sponsorship. This position requires a strategic thinker with relationship-building skills and a proven ability to drive business growth through effective partnership management.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains influential relationships within the airport industry.
  • Leads the response to airport and municipal Requests for Proposals (RFPs) using industry best practices to maximize win rates.
  • Oversees media program design and capital requirements for new and extended contracts.
  • Negotiates favorable contract terms that align with company objectives.
  • Ensures contractual terms are met.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of advertising products and services that exceed both client and company expectations.
  • Employs portfolio strategies and tactics to accomplish overall portfolio goals.
  • Supports sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Completes other duties as assigned or requested.

Job Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, experience, or military experience required.
  • Master's degree preferred.

Work Experience

  • Minimum two (2) years of business development, sales, media, advertising, or airport experience in increasing levels of responsibility required.
  • Airport concessions experience preferred.
  • Prior experience and knowledge of various airport advertising media, including but not limited to digital networks, sponsorships, and other traditional airport media required.
  • Familiarity with state, county and/or city public procurement process preferred.

  • Must have a successful history of identifying, analyzing and closing high level business deals.
  • Must possess solid negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with leadership qualities.
  • Ability and flexibility to work under pressure and concurrently on multiple projects in a time-sensitive and high-pressure environment.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft and other Software applications (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Adobe, Workday).

Physical Demands

Attendance at weekly/monthly meetings is required.

  • Sit and/or stand at a desk for a minimum of eight hours a day.
  • Lift and move items up to fifteen pounds.
  • Carry or hold up to fifteen pounds of supplies or materials while walking for 30 minutes or longer.
  • See written documents; view computer screens and adjust focus.
  • Perform duties in a temperature-controlled airport or office environment.
  • Work occasional evening, weekend or late-night hours.
  • Walk through airport terminals of varying sizes.
  • Carry and maneuver personal luggage when travelling.

Other Requirements

  • 10-year FBI Background check required for airport security badging process.
  • Able to travel outside of the office at least 30% of the time for meetings and industry events.
  • Has a valid driver's license.
  • Access to a reliable vehicle.
