PGAL is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mid-Level Visualization Designer to join our growing in-house visualization team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled 3D artist with a passion for creating visually compelling imagery in support of architecture and design projects. The ideal candidate is an excellent visual storyteller, a creative problem solver, and is eager to grow both technically and artistically within a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
- Produce high-quality, photo-realistic 3D imagery for architecture and design projects using 3ds Max and V-Ray primarily.
- Maintain meticulous attention to detail, striving for continuous improvement in modeling and rendering quality.
- Interpret and model from architectural drawings, plans, sketches, and design concepts.
- Contribute creatively to the visual direction, design, and staging of scenes for maximum storytelling impact.
- Collaborate closely with other visualization artists, architects, and project teams to refine visual storytelling and composition.
-Manage timelines effectively, prioritizing multiple deliverables across various projects to ensure deadlines are met.
- Experiment with new tools, techniques, and workflows to enhance productivity and visual output.
- Pursue growth in both technical and creative aspects of visualization, exploring new technologies, and approaches (i.e. AI integrated workflows).
- Participate in the creation and curation of asset libraries, materials, and resources to benefit the team and the wider firm.
- Support team's use of innovative visualization methods, including the integration of emerging tools and workflows.
- Explore opportunities to influence the creative direction of marketing renders, participate in site photography (including drone and camera work), and bring unique perspectives to the visualization process.
- Contribute to training and knowledge sharing within the team and the firm Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Animation, or a related field preferred.
- 3-7 years of professional experience.
- Proficiency in 3ds Max, V-Ray, Photoshop, and After Effects.
- Familiarity with Unreal Engine, Twinmotion, Enscape, Envision, or similar visualization tools.
- Strong understanding of lighting, materials, and color theory.
- Ability to create well-balanced, visually engaging compositions rooted in storytelling.
- Strong artistic sensibility, including sketching and the ability to communicate ideas visually through drawing.
- Capable of reading, interpreting, and modeling from architectural drawings and plans.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and self-direction skills.
- Passion for continuous artistic and technical development.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
Preferred Skills:
- Experience leading small projects or balancing multiple deliverables simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate visual ideas clearly to both internal and external audiences.
