Salary Range: 55,000- 90,000

Summary

We are seeking a Compliance Program Specialist to ensure our company operates in accordance with all relevant laws and regulations in Yakima, WA. The ideal candidate will monitor and enforce compliance programs, conduct audits, and develop policies and procedures to mitigate risk. This position requires advanced knowledge of: multiple compliance media (e.g., Clean Air Act (CAA), Clean Water Act (CWA), Safe Drinking Water Act, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRCA), Emergency Planning and Community Right to Know Act (EPCRA), Toxic Substance Control Act (TSCA)), demonstrated ability to conduct inspections, compile results and determine corrective action plans for compliance media; knowledge of permitting and reporting processes associated with multiple media; and demonstrated ability to research, and evaluate proposed actions for compliance with various laws and regulations.

Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, Finance, or related field.
  • No less than five years of proven experience in compliance, audit, or a related field.
  • Required training, education, and certificates: 40 Hour HAZWOPER, Washington State Water Operator, Asbestos and LBP Management Planner, STI/SPFA SP001 AST Inspector Training, 49 CFR 172 DOT Hazardous Waste Manifesting
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.


Responsibilities



  • Develop, implement, and monitor compliance programs.
  • Conduct regular audits to identify areas of non-compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure adherence to regulations.
  • Update and maintain policies and procedures to reflect current laws.
  • Provide training to staff on compliance-related matters.
  • Investigate and resolve compliance issues as they arise.
