KPMG is currently seeking a Director, Corporate Affairs Operations to join our Corporate Affairs organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Act as an advisor to the Chief Corporate Affairs Officer (CCAO) and senior management team, assist the CCAO in decision-making and directing inquiries; serve as a proxy for the CCAO with team as needed to ensure the team remains focused on shaping, advancing, and protecting reputation to advance firm priorities
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with key leaders to conceptualize, implement, and monitor strategic and tactical plans to position the firm and Corporate Affairs, internally and externally; oversee the strategic planning process and coordinate the execution of strategic initiatives, ensuring resources are allocated appropriately
  • Use deep subject matter expertise to develop and evaluate content for senior-level presentations and collaborate with their leadership teams as appropriate, with a strong understanding of their business goals and needs
  • Accountable for human capital management, creating and managing engagement and learning development programs for the communications organization in partnership with Human Resources
  • Set performance goals including designing dashboards to track and report against goals; implement systems and processes to analyze and measure results and channel effectiveness
  • Manage a high-functioning operation that includes financial operations, project management, and vendor/procurement management; influence Corporate Affairs leadership to anticipate issues and proactively solve problems that may arise within the department
Qualifications:
  • Minimum ten years of recent experience in corporate affairs working with leaders as a trusted advisor and strategic counsellor, in addition to leading program management and operations
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in journalism, marketing, communications or related field; Master's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred
  • Experience with collaboration tools and workflow platforms; experience applying lean management and agile techniques to drive business results is preferred
  • Prior people leadership experience in building, running, and developing high-performing teams and leading an operations team with a stakeholder-focused mindset
  • Excellent relationship building skills, collaborates, influences, motivates, and leads effectively with all levels of the organization and anticipates issues while offering suggestions for resolution
  • Strong personal standards of excellence and ethics, as well as the ability to act with discretion, strict confidentiality and sensitivity toward issues and individuals; possess a dynamic, proactive, and positive attitude with superior listening skills and ability to stimulate candid dialogue
