What you will do:
- Act as the technical lead for the development of complete HVAC units, creating innovative, high-performance solutions that exceed customer expectations
- Work cross-functionally with groups such as design, test, manufacturing, sales, and supply chain to ensure product design meets business needs
- Tackle highly complex technical challenges, applying expert knowledge in heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and mechanical analysis to optimize designs
- Provide technical guidance to more junior team members
- Develop electro-mechanical products of significant complexity, supporting program quality, cost, and schedule
- Develop test plans and performs testing of components and sub-systems, supporting performance, reliability, and industry certification
- Drive the execution of the new product development phase-gate process, demonstrating appropriate design maturity and growth across various milestones
- Contribute expertise to key HVAC subsystems, including:
- Vapor compression refrigeration systems
- Fans, motors, and variable speed technologies
- Indoor air quality solutions (filtration, ventilation, UV lighting)
- Energy recovery systems (heat wheels, air-to-air heat exchangers)
- Heating systems (gas furnaces, electric heaters, hot water coils)
- Structural systems (design and testing for leakage, pressure, accelerated life, seismic and wind loading)
- Unit controls (sequence of operation, control algorithms, and devices)

Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field
- Experience: Minimum 10 years in product development, with a proven track record of leading complex engineering projects
- Technical Expertise: Experience in one or more of the following: thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and mechanical analysis. Demonstrated ability to architect new products and contribute to new technology development projects.
