This is a full-time opportunity to work on a modern fleet of garbage trucks in a stable, safety-focused environment. Pay & Schedule Hourly Pay: $35.00 - $36.00 + $1.50/hr shift differential Schedule: Monday - Friday, 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM Bonus: $5,000 Stay-On Bonus Key Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel trucks and heavy equipment. Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems. Use vehicle diagnostic tools to identify and resolve mechanical issues. Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with OSHA standards. Maintain accurate records using fleet maintenance software. Address issues from Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs). Keep a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors. Qualifications 1+ year of diesel mechanic or heavy truck repair experience, or completion of a vocational-technical program. CDL preferred (or willingness to obtain within 90 days). Must have personal tools. Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and service documentation. Welding experience is a plus!
