Job Description

As a Project Manager, you will be the key liaison between our clients and our Creative team. You will be expected to manage projects including scheduling, estimating, obtaining job detail information, job tracking and invoicing. He/she must be proactive, quick thinking, a problem solver and ultra-organized, ensuring account satisfaction and service excellence. The Project Manager will project manage the day-to-day execution and optimization of Creative Services projects determining goals and coordinating projects. This includes resolving and escalating issues and barriers.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as primary liaison between clients and production teams
  • Establish and promote excellent customer relations through effective and proactive communications to update clients and other stakeholders on project status
  • Lead day-to-day management and optimization of projects, entering specifications using job management software, and ensuring proper priority is given to each job to meet client expectations
  • Demonstrate understanding in each area of Creative Services including: project management, design and sector
  • Attend and set relevant client meetings, production and project management status calls bringing in Art Director and Designers from Creative Services as needed
  • Maintain contact with clients and production to set project milestones, create project estimates, tracks schedules, advise of job progress, scheduling concerns, and any requests for additional information or materials, when required
  • Perform invoicing, forecasting on a pre-set deadline and monitor client's budgets for accuracy
  • Maintain the master schedule for all project activities and conduct periodic status checks to assess progress against the schedule.
  • Make changes to plans when requirements change/shift
  • Track and report on quality metrics, strategize with the client and deliver services, which will attract and retain customer loyalty.
  • Train other employees as needed
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned

Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree in discipline related to functional work or role with 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • Must be able consistently identify critical elements, variables and alternatives to develop solutions. Must be able to organize/prioritize existing resources and incorporate new information, as needed, to implement the most effective solutions. Able to communicate clearly and courteously with those who need to know of decisions/actions/problems. Able to apply excellent business acumen and collaborative skills when resolving problems.
  • Able to apply excellent functional computer knowledge in utilizing Microsoft Windows, MAC, or other technical tools in completing assignments. Able to apply expertise in all the tools or applications used to complete work assignments. Able to mentor junior level team members in the use of tools and/or systems in the position.
  • Must be able to modify communication style both formal and informal to match the appropriate level of the audience targeted. Requires strong understanding of the impact of a message on the organization or customer.

Additional Information

RRD's current salary range for this role is $73,200 to $114,300 / year. The salary range may be adjusted based on the applicable geographic location of the hired employee, and the range may change in the future. At RRD, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions may vary based upon, but not limited to education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. Depending on the role, in addition to base salary, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program. RRD's benefit offerings include medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, disability insurance, 401(k) with company match, life insurance and other voluntary supplemental insurance coverages, plus parental leave, adoption assistance, tuition assistance and employer/partner discounts.
