Job Family Description

Administrative and business services professionals provide various office and location support activities. They identify, enhance, and follow specific processes and procedures to maximize the efficiencies of the business to which the support is being provided, and ensure the correct functioning of facilities, office and/or business support services.

Discipline Description

Administrative professionals provide clerical, secretarial, or administrative support to employees or groups in the organization. They use business software applications to prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, agendas, minutes, etc. They may screen and direct incoming calls, visitors, mail and email, maintain files, records, and calendars, and arrange business travel, coordinate meeting arrangements, and/or track expenses.

Some Typical Duties & Responsibilities Include:

The primary purpose of this position is to provide administrative support for HR Business Partners. The duties include but are not limited to the following:

Provide support for specific projects which may include compiling data and assisting with project coordination and tracking

Compile reports/queries in support of Human Resources programs on a routine basis

Generate personnel change of status records (i.e. shift schedule changes, department transfers, change in job classifications, etc.), obtain appropriate and timely approval, and ensure data accuracy and integrity

Generate and distribute standard documents to the workforce.

Required Qualifications

* High school diploma
* Equivalencies to experience and education requirements will be considered

Demonstrated proficiency in the following:
- Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, etc.)
- Use of HRMS (i.e. PeopleSoft and Applicant Tracking Systems)
- Supporting multiple customers, efficiently managing a variety of tasks, and consistently meeting deadlines

Prior experience managing sensitive information and providing administrative support to a Human Resources organization.

Security Clearance Information

SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug & alcohol test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Factors such as pre-employment background review results, dual citizenship status, and unpaid and/or unfiled taxes may impact your ability to obtain a security clearance. This list of factors is not exhaustive; pre-employment information and security clearance requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
