Job Description

We are seeking a detail oriented and motivated Software Product Manager who will be responsible for product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle with a focus on Design and Engineering for Component Manufacturers and Material Suppliers. This individual will lead teams to develop software solutions for system integration, determining software interaction logic for both wood and cold form steel framing conditions, gathering, and prioritizing product and customer needs, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing and support to ensure customer satisfaction as well as company ROI goals are met. Ensure that the product supports the company's overall strategy and goals.

Job Responsibilities & Requirements

Responsibilities:


  • Support the Structure Product Teams daily functions and processes

  • Meet regularly with the divisional team to ensure a clear, mutual understanding around the status and expectations of software projects

  • Understand and capture customer needs via user stories / requirements

  • Develop and maintain an appropriately prioritized backlog of user stories for implementation

  • Work with technical leads to determine scope and priorities for product development cycles

  • Develop appropriately detailed specificationsfor product features so that they are clearly understood by the development teams

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into user stories for the development teams to implement

  • Work with software team to deliver valuable solutions on time

  • Contribute to customer exchanges and discovery efforts

  • Effectively follow existing MiTek best practices in software development

  • Develop an understanding of software implementation practices

  • Lead/own specific behavior within a software product or project

  • Stay current with software technologies and standards in software development

  • Rapidly learns about areas of the industry relevant to their product responsibilities


Qualifications:


  • Bachelors degree in a related field required; equivalent combination of experience and education which clearly indicates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position may substitute on a year for year basis

  • 5+ years of experience in product management or other roles involved with the specification, development, or testing of software products OR 5+ years of experience in the homebuilding industry

  • Ability to perform mathematical skills such as calculating proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume and able to apply concepts of basic geometry

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications

  • Solid foundation in software development principles and technical proficiency

  • Excellent planning, communication, presentation, and collaboration skills

  • Ability to bring clarity and order to competing priorities and unmet customer needs

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
