For more information, visit our website at www.kearfott.com Position Description: This position is responsible for using a wide variety of precision measuring equipment to perform visual and mechanical inspection of critical tolerances of machined parts, assemblies, sub-assemblies and completed units. Essential Functions: * Checks tolerance and performs visual inspection of machined parts, subassemblies and completed units using a variety of tools and gauges. * Verifies each step in the process is completed and recorded properly. * Uses test equipment and gauges following engineering instructions. * Summarize, file, and maintain records and parts traceability. Required Experience: * Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent (2-year degree or certifications at technical/vocation program preferred). * 3+ years' experience in mechanical inspection process or machining/assembling processes in manufacturing preferred. * Must be able to understand basic math calculations. * Must have strong understanding of how to read/interpret blueprints. * Must have the ability to verify threaded holes, hole size, and other geometric features. * Due to U.S. export control laws under ITAR, this position is only open to U.S. persons, which includes U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents (Green Card holders), and certain protected individuals under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
