This position will assist the Supervisor in all operations of the Lockers and Non-Metal department on 2nd shift including production labor. Directs and assists in the work activities of indirect / direct labor employees. Performs a variety of manufacturing assignments and must be able to understand all policies, procedures, instructions, rules and regulations (including all safety training and safety information) associated with this position. Plans, directs, or coordinates the work activities and resources necessary for manufacturing products in accordance with People, Quality, Velocity, and Cost and specifications.

This is a 2nd shift opportunity from 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM*.

*2nd shift hours will be changing on 7/7/2025 to 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm

You will:

  • Be Responsible for promoting and contributing to a positive and cooperative working environment
    *Ensure employees are adhering to Company Policies and Procedures
    *Champion a clean and safe work area
    *Schedule department resources to achieve production of our product: Safely, To Specification, On Time and within Standard Cost
    *Ensure Transactional Integrity: Labor / Inventory Reporting and other Transactional Processes
    *Facilitate training associates to Standard Process and ensures they are certified to perform work
    *Act as the first responder to Quality or Process Issues
    *Be responsible for the PQVC process, "collect appropriate data, understand the constraints and priorities, perform the 5 Why's and champion countermeasures that result in improved trends in the results
    *Help create a problem solving culture
    *Facilitate communication across shifts and departments
    *Facilitate Department meetings
    *Assist in personnel reviews and coaching employees to meet expectations set for them
    *Sustain IOE standards in area of responsibility
    *Lead daily continuous Improvement through the use of BOS tools, driven as elimination of waste and improvement is productivity
    *Perform other duties as required and/or assigned

You Have:

  • Qualities that others look to for direction and support.
  • Prior leadership experience (preferred)
  • High school diploma, GED (courses in Industrial Arts preferred), and three (3) to five (5) years of general shop experience required; or equivalent combination of education and training.
  • Ability to perform at a CNC Operator A or B Level

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.The employee is required to stand for the majority of the shift; use hands and arms to handle, feel and reach. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
