POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

The Facility Coordinator is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and repair of commercial and industrial buildings and systems. This role includes assisting with troubleshooting, diagnostics, and project coordination while maintaining a strong customer service focus. The Facility Coordinator also plays a key role in supporting the project manager, overseeing maintenance staff, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Assist project manager with troubleshooting and repairing building systems and equipment, including but not limited to: HVAC, plumbing, kitchen equipment, large air compressors, machinery, shop tools, grounds equipment, and roof systems.
  • Coordinate, review, and maintain work orders and documentation in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Provide logistical and administrative support for facility operations, projects, and initiatives.
  • Source, vet, and coordinate third-party contractors and vendors, including managing bids, scheduling work, and ensuring job completion to standards.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and development of maintenance personnel; assist with enforcing company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct routine inspections of facilities and grounds to identify issues and ensure maintenance standards are upheld.
  • Ensure all required safety training is completed monthly and annually by staff, and enforce a safe work environment.
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal codes, regulations, and company directives.
  • Foster a proactive and collaborative relationship with the client and internal teams to ensure satisfaction and operational efficiency.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or technical degree preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in facility maintenance, building operations, or related field.
  • Working knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in CMMS or other maintenance software systems.
