Job Summary

Serves as a crucial member within a dynamic cross-functional team. Provides logistical and warehousing solutions for assigned teams ensuring timely, compliant, and cost-effective fulfillment. Coordinates domestic transport and ocean freight logistics. Ensures compliance with all international requirements and regulations, including shipping requirements, appropriate warehousing facilities, documentation, registration processes, etc.

Key Responsibilities

1. Responsible for international shipping operations, including vessel procurement, freight forwarding, and schedule coordination with warehouses and customers.

2. Verifies correct product placement in warehouses to meet customer expectations.

3. Directs and ensures compliance with country-specific shipping requirements and regulations, including ensuring appropriate warehousing facilities are utilized.

4. Reviews, approves, and coordinates all international documentation, facilitating corrections and submission to relevant customers and/or governing bodies.

5. Coordinates in country registrations and documents providing the necessary information to the customer & governing bodies to ensure a smooth regulatory and registration process to ship product to various countries around the world.

6. Keeps up to date on the most recent international trade policies through the correct platforms to ensure product eligibility for export shipments.

7. Oversees international customer orders with production, date coding, and labeling requirements.

8. Collaborates with Supply Chain to source all products for international shipments.

9. Tracks international orders from shipment to final delivery, providing real-time status updates to customers and internal teams.

10. Liaises with Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) and required departments to anticipate and communicate changes in weekly and monthly shipments.

11. Designs and compiles monthly customer satisfaction reports to inform leadership of successes and areas for improvement.

12. Reviews international charges and business costs, focusing on optimizing costs with domestic and international shipping partners.

13. Guides quarterly planning meetings to align cross-functionally for customer success and cost control.

14. Participates and contributes to the annual whole bird planning to ensure warehouses are prepared for success based on destination country requirements, including USDA inspection needs, and document processing times.

Minimum Qualifications (Educations & Experience)

* High school diploma, GED, or equivalent

* 3+ years of relevant experience or the knowledge, skills, and abilities to succeed in the role

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

* Solid understanding of specific country requirements for value-added services and shipments

* Firm knowledge of labeling regulations and production date intricacies

* Business acumen with a basic understanding of financial data and interpreting profit & loss statements

* Strong written/verbal communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills with the ability to support and optimize international operations seamlessly

* Ability to cultivate and maintain working relationships with multi-cultural clients and partners at all levels within the organization while delivering the highest level of customer service

* Excellent customer services skills with the ability to respond urgently to address client matters, questions, and concerns

* Ability to evaluate multi-sourced data to derive actionable insights and recommendations

* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, etc.), SAP or other ERP (enterprise resource planning) systems

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

* Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent

Physical Demands

* While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk, hear, reach, bend, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate equipment, computer, telephone, keyboard, and occasionally climb and lift up to or about 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision and the ability to adjust focus. Working Conditions

Working Conditions & Travel Requirements

* Work will be performed in a variety of conditions including remote work, a climate-controlled office environment(s), and in a manufacturing plant environment with varying conditions, such as cold areas, wet areas, warm areas, chemicals, and other site conditions. This position requires the individual to wear and work in personal protective equipment while in the manufacturing environment. For remote work, the employee must have a dedicated workspace to safely setup and use assigned IT equipment, preferably free from distractions. The employee is responsible for ensuring adequate internet service is available when working remotely (the recommended minimum speed is 20mb download and 5mb upload).

* The noise level of the office environment is usually moderate; the noise level in the manufacturing environment may exceed 85 DBA and require hearing protection.

* Travel may be required up to 15% of the time.
