Job Summary

Under the direction of the Sr. Manufacturing Manager, the Internal Non-Conformance Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that all internal quality system controls are followed. Auditing, reporting, validating, and communicating issues to responsible parties on a daily basis. The Internal Non-Conformance Coordinator will identify breakdowns in the process and offer improvement ideas to enhance the process. The Internal Nonconformance Coordinator will be expected to adhere to company expectations regarding all quality procedures.

Essential Functions:



  • Manage the internal non-conformance process, ensuring all process steps are being completed.
  • Coordinate with the production supervisor the daily activities for the rework team.
  • Provide daily reports of process effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement. Ensure that daily Red Bin Review is being completed.
  • Monitor accuracy of Hold Tickets and backtracking, providing training where necessary. Data entry and accuracy of the Hold Ticket database.
  • Help make dispositions on Hold product, using experience and data to determine if the product should be used as is, scrapped, sorted, or saved for testing.
  • Assure internal noncompliance information is presented to the IE group for the purpose of correcting or improving issues.
  • Coordinate/help with rework, if necessary, before the product is placed on hold(backtrack). Assist in maintaining HellermannTyton's Quality and Environmental certification by supporting:
  • Corporate policies, procedures, work instructions, and required documentation.



Other Functions



  • Assist in verifying inventory transactions.
  • Leadership skills
  • Computer skills (Microsoft products and document control software).
  • Use the lab equipment such as moisture analyzer, tensiometer, & moisture oven.
  • Pass the Ishihara Test for Color or advise if color deficient.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Ability to understand quality specifications.
  • Ability to complete a capability study set-up.
  • Ability to use all testing equipment and perform all testing required.
  • Ability to use and understand control plans.
  • Ability to use the oven and scale for moisture verification.
  • Ability to read prints and do a dimensional layout.
  • Ability to put PPAP files together.
  • Blueprint reading skills.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
  • Support a LEAN Work Environment.



Success in this role will require



  • Ability to accurately read work orders and identify and obtain the proper packaging supplies listed on the work order.
  • Ability to file documentation and records.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and ensure daily tasks are completed.
  • Ability to follow the Nonconformance procedure, which includes proper backtracking and containment.
  • Must have good vision and be detail-oriented.
  • Perform basic math skills to calculate data.
  • Understand basic instructions, rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Take personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work.
  • Adhere to all workplace laws, regulations, standards, and practices.
  • Must pass the Ishihara Test for Color or advise if color is deficient.



What You'll Bring



  • High school diploma or equivalency required.
  • Six months of prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred. Computer skills - i.e., Windows, Excel.
  • Good vision.
  • Good math and communication skills.
  • Ability to follow written or oral instructions accurately.
  • Must be able to stand and walk. Bend over in order to lift 50 lbs. Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be a quality-conscious, detail-oriented individual.
  • Ability to work overtime/weekends as needed is a requirement of the job.
  • Ability to inspect production for quality defects.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
  • Leadership skills or previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • All employees entering the Manufacturing area and other identified locations must wear the designated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for their position. Wearing your Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is a condition of employment.
